The iconic and mysterious American band The Residents will celebrate fifty years of existence at a concert on February 16, 2023 at the Archa Theatre in Prague. As part of the tour called FACELESS FOREVER the DOG STAB! The tour will be played by its members, who hide their identity and perform in masks, a wide repertoire of songs - not only from the iconic DUCK STAB album! from 1978 and the recent Metal, Meat & Bone, but also other fan favorites. In addition, they promise unexpected surprises. During the February performance of this cult group in the Czech Republic, the celebration of its round will also be symbolically linked with the final year of the Archa Theatre, which first presented the band here at the beginning of its existence in the 1990s and for which the members created the production The Residents' Freak Show Live / Obludárium. Fans will also be able to see The Residents' first feature film called Triple Trouble before the start of the concert at Archa. Tickets are on sale in the GoOut network. The concert is organized by the Liver Music agency and the Archa Theatre as part of the Prague International Bluenight series.
It is no coincidence that the concert will take place in the Archa Theatre in Prague, for which The Residents created the production The Residents' Freak Show Live / Obludárium, which premiered on November 1, 1995 and was subsequently reenacted throughout the month. "The Residents belong without a doubt to the spiritual twins of the Archa Theatre. Not only their mysterious identity, but mainly their uncompromisingness and their sense of harsh humor caused their popularity in our country. The Residents are still inspiring today. It is only natural that their concert will become part of the final season of the Archa Theatre called The Cornerstones of the Future," explains the director of the Archa Theatre Ondřej Hrab.
